There is barely a room to be worst in. Group classes here are small - two people in Restorative Pilates, up to five in Mat Pilates - and most of the week is one-on-one, so there is no back row and nobody keeping score. Plenty of people book their first ever Pilates class here. A first session is mostly your instructor watching how you actually move, then giving you two or three things to think about, and you will get corrected often, by name. That is the point of a studio this size, not a sign you are doing badly. Expect to understand about a third of the vocabulary and to feel your abdominals the next day. Both are normal.
Fitted clothes you can move in, so your alignment is visible and nothing rides up when your hips are above your head. Grip socks are required on the equipment; if you do not own a pair, the studio sells them. Bring water. Leave dangling jewelry at home and skip heavy lotion on your hands and feet, because it makes the equipment slippery. Everything else, reformers and mats included, is already here.
It depends on the class. Restorative Pilates, on the reformer, holds two people. Mat Pilates holds up to five. A private lesson is one-on-one, and a duet is you plus one person you bring.
Every price is on the pricing page in full, and you do not need an account to read them. Classes are paid for at the studio - Venmo, cash, or Zelle, either ahead of time or the day of. This site books your spot and never asks for a card number.
A private lesson is one-on-one on the reformer, built entirely around you, and it is where most beginners start. A duet is that same hour shared with one person you bring, at a lower price each. Both are requested for Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday and confirmed by the studio. Restorative Pilates is a two-person reformer class, and Mat Pilates is a mat-only group class for up to five - both are booked directly, no approval needed.
Yes. When you send a private lesson or duet request, choose Recurring instead of Drop-in and just pick a day - no need to lock in an exact date. The studio confirms it as a standing weekly slot from there.
Cancel from your account page up to an hour before the session and nothing is owed. Inside that last hour, a heads-up email is kinder than a no-show, though it still costs nothing either way. Running late is never a problem: there is no cutoff, you will simply be folded into whatever is happening when you arrive, and the full session price still applies. The studio policies page has the full version.
You will hear as early as it is known, so nobody arrives to a locked door. You get your choice of a refund or a credit toward a future session.
Usually yes, and it is one of the most common reasons people start here. No doctor's note is required. Say what is going on before your first session, ideally in the notes field when you request it, so the hour can be built around it rather than adjusted halfway through.
Email. It's on the contact page, and it never needs an account. Booking a class needs one, asking a question never does.
Yes, but only to book. The account exists so you can see what you have reserved and cancel it yourself instead of playing phone tag. It takes no payment and signs you up for nothing else.
